Lady Priscilla Tanaquil (1787-1807) was the beloved only daughter of the Earl and Countess of Filey. She made her debut in 1805 and despite being very pretty was content to live in the shadow of her more brilliant best friend, Lady Viola Fitzgerald. She instantly fell in love with Sir Roland Taylor and despite the disparagement in their ranks, her parents eventually consented to a marriage between them. They were very happy until Priscilla died in childbirth in 1807.
Priscilla was not too bright and easily led, but she was affectionate and well-meaning.
