Located in Maldon, Essex Manor is the seat of the Earls of Essex.
The estate was given to Edmund Sterne, the 1st Earl of Essex, in 1616, upon the creation of the title. The manor itself was built in late 16th century, and it has gone through some renovations since.
Among the main attractions of the estate are its large lake and the beautiful gardens surrounding the house.
At the moment, the 8th Earl of Essex and his mother, the Dowager Countess of Essex reside in the manor; nevertheless, the manor's affairs are run by the Earl's sister, Lady Jane Middleton.
Portrayed by Lyme Park, Cheshire.
