Morven Castle in Dorset has been the principle seat of the Earls of Morven since the 17th century. However, it has never been improved upon or modernised and has fallen into bad conditions over the centuries. This is particularly true under the current Earl who has let the castle fall into disrepair over the last couple of decades as his health has failed.
For all its structural problems and bad condition, the castle is set in beautiful wooded countryside with a view down towards the sea. With proper attention, it could become a first rate residence.
