Francis Asquith (b 1745, d 1810) was the fourth Marquess of Coniston. He was married to Elysia Asquith who predeceased him. He is survived by three sons, Kenward (b. 1776), Emory (b. 1786) and Bennet (B 1792) and a daughter Jocasta.

Somewhat of a spendthrift, Francis's tendencies were somewhat curbed by his wife until her death in 1806. He spent the last four years of his life at Coniston Chase, undertaking a redesign of several of the State rooms, an overhaul only completed shortly before his death.
