William Bartram (1761-1805) was the eldest son of Peregrine Bartram, Lord Bartram and his wife Sarah. During his lifetime, he was heir to the Bartram barony. However, he died childless in 1805, leaving behind his wife, an unmarried younger sister and his father. After his death, his disconsolate widow, Eleanor Bartram (née Sothersby) found it too painful to remain in England and be reminded of him, and so took to travelling around Europe.
He is survived by his father, his widow, his sister Honoria and his nephew John.
