Mrs Mary Billington is wife to Edmund Billington.
Her claims to notoriety include her wealth (which is she is not shy in displaying), four unmarried daughters and her annual card party, well-attended only because she has the good sense to always schedule it for the Monday after a ball, when her friends and acquaintances are most likely to be keen to gather and gossip.
She has four daughters: Elinor, Emmy, Christina and Alexandra.
