Ripley Hall is an estate owned by Lord [[Francis Harpole]] since 1811 and is located near Ripley, Surrey.  Built from 1720-1750, it was acquired by Lord Harpole at a supposedly massive sum.  Lord Harpole originally was set to by a smaller estate in Pangbourne but it burned down prior to completing the transaction.  The estate is large and originally comprised about 2,000 acres.  However, about 900 acres were sold directly after Lord Harpole purchased the estate and 200 acres became populated by tenants.
