From 1796 to 1799, she lived with her brother and helped care for Caroline after her brother, Charles, went off to school. When Lord Ackland died in 1799, Caroline went to live with her sister Lucie (Lady Parkhurst), and Lady Sutton returned to her own home where she continued to reside to present.
