George is the current Earl of Morven. He was born in 1750 and married Elinor Wolsey in 1779 with whom he had two children: Augusta, Duchess of Leicester and George, Lord Selwyn. Lady Morven died in 1789, a blow from which the Earl never really recovered. He became something of a recluse in Morven Castle, dedicating his life to the advancement of his children's prospects - from a distance.
