Lady Philippa Agnew is the daughter of Fitzwilliam Agnew, 11th Marquess of Abingdon, and his wife, Alice Agnew née Prescott, Marchioness of Abingdon. She is the sister of Louis Agnew, 12th Marquess of Abingdon. She was born at Deerhurst in Surrey on 11 March 1794. When she was three years old, she suffered an accident while out riding with a brother and has walked with a limp ever since. She is called Pippa by her family.
