Welcome to The London Life's Wiki
The London Life Wiki, known also as LLWiki or, amongst us LLers, simply "the wiki," was created for the players and is maintained by the players. It details our playable characters, their families, their estates, in-game events, notable (and not so notable) non-player-characters, relationships...it truly is an accumulation of all things LL. Curious about the ever "popular" Sarah Ainsley? Check out her article. What's this about the Battle of the Debutantes? Look it up! Who was Viola Fitzgerald's mother's uncle's third daughter? She probably has an article!
That's the great thing about the wiki. It allows us to expand upon the fictional world we've created on our boards, currently accessible at http://forums.thelondonliferpg.com, and link it together in an organized fashion. While our applications are fairly straightforward and list only the basic information about a character, our character pages on the wiki can detail everything from their wardrobe to their interpersonal relationships to their typical breakfast menu.
The wiki is also home to some of our players' finest research work on the Regency period, covering topics such as forms of address, ladies' literature, and even dinner parties. For a quick guide to the wiki's articles, please visit the Community Portal, listed in the navigation panel to the left of your screen.
Announcements
08/01/2015: The wiki has been updated and should be in good working order. Please report any errors to Liz.
For the Players
The wiki is accessible to all, but editable only by registered members. I encourage you to have fun with the wiki and create pages to your hearts' content. However, I do give you the following guidelines:
1. Profanity is not acceptable here, just as it is not on the boards. If in doubt, leave it out and check with me (Liz).
2. If you're going to include images of your characters on their wiki pages, and I encourage you to, please make sure that they are cropped to 150 x 225 pixels, for uniformity's sake.
3. While the wiki does allow more freedom in defining and developing your character, the Official Character Application remains the standard in determining how to play your character on the boards. In general, your character's history here and in the application should match, though of course, you are allowed to be more detailed here on the wiki.
4. Have fun with the wiki! After all, LL is a game and if a game isn't fun, why bother playing at all? :)
