This list was created by Lord Selwyn on Thursday 11th April 1811 in an attempt to help find him the perfect wife.

The Original List

Updates

April 11th

It was narrowed down on that day to the following ladies:

Lady Elizabeth was removed for being impertinent and annoying.
Miss Hutchinson and Miss Hampton were removed for not being of sufficiently good family.
Lady Imogen was removed for being sickly.
Lady Viola was removed for being a shrew and a spinster.

April 15th

After the Emerson Ball of the 14th April, Charity Pritchard was removed due to her revealing choice of dress.

April 19th

Lady Penelope Grove and Miss Palmer (pending good references) have been added to the list.

May 2nd

On the announcement of Lady Juliet's engagement to Lord Torrington, her name was regretly struck from the list.

May 9th

Based on recommendations from his sister who had clearly never met the lady in question, Miss Knox was added to - and swiftly removed from - the list.

May 14th

Following an intriguing dance with her at the Vickery Ball, Miss Grenfell has been added to the list. An introduction from his sister to Miss Mulholland has not brought fruit.

The Current List

Miss Hutchinson is most certainly not on the list.
