The Earldom of Fareweather is a hereditary title in the peerage of England. The current title holder, the 9th Earl, is unknown after the death in 1808 of Nathaniel Ashbourne, the father of former character, Lydia Ashbourne[1]. The title may be subsumed into the Duchy of Eversley, also held by a family surnamed Ashbourne, who may be distant relatives, although the two families were created by separate players.
