Frances Sutton

The widowed wife of Sir John Sutton, a baronet from Surrey, Lady Sutton is the sister of the late Frederick Gardiner, Lord Ackland, and aunt to his children, including Miss Gardiner. From 1796 to 1799, she lived with her brother and helped care for Caroline after Lord Ackland's next youngest child, Charles, went off to school. When Lord Ackland died in 1799, Caroline went to live with her sister Lucie (Lady Parkhurst), and Lady Sutton returned to her own home where she continued to reside to present.
