Lucinda Ramsey, Baroness Tinsdale is a married mother-of-two played by Nikki.
Background
Lucinda was born on a hot August day to Lord and Lady Weymouth, quickly finding her lungs she proceeded to scream and kick until she was cleaned, swaddled and fed. Growing up, Lucinda always found more pleasure in being outside than pushed inside for lessons and schooling, preferring the smell of the outdoors and nature than the stuffy old smell of books. Though one thing her parents did discover early on was Lucinda’s natural talent for music, which they greatly encouraged and she soon found herself at the family’s piano for hours on end every day.
Lucinda took to the older sister role like a duck takes to water when her brother John was born. She would coddle him and carry him around all the time, often telling the nanny how to do the woman’s job when taking care of her baby brother. Because of her coddling, John grew close to his sister and they share a bond that is very strong, John being one of the only people in the world who can tell Lucinda when she is being too much and actually not face her wrath.
Lucinda always just assumed she would marry because that’s what ladies did when they came of age and on her first summer she was not left without offers. She always thought she would choose a man like her father, a man who was strong, had a booming voice and an intimidating stare, but she surprised everyone when she found herself charmed by the quiet and soft spoken Baron Tinsdale. He was sweet and kind to her and she easily agreed to marriage when he asked, both happily wed only a few months later.
After two blissful years of marriage and getting herself settled as a true lady of the house, both Lucinda and her husband decided it was time to start adding to their family and after only three months of trying Lucinda became pregnant .Unfortunately, the happy news was short lived and after five months along she lost the baby unexpectedly causing her to fall into deep depression.
During this time in her life she had met a young woman with hair so fiery red it could be seen from miles away and that woman was Countess Carrington, soon to become known as Kate as the ladies grew closer to each other over the years. Kate was with Lucinda during her second pregnancy, this time it being a success and the Ramsey’s being blessed with a healthy baby girl who they named Henrietta Rose, Hattie for short.
The next three years would wear Lucinda very thin due to her and her husband trying for another child and failing repeatedly. Lucinda miscarried six different times over the course of this time which caused her to fall yet again into a depressed state, it being hard for her to even get up from bed or eat at times. Her husband and her dear Kate were very comforting, never pushing and always being there which made Lucinda feel so utterly loved, especially when Kate had issues of her own to worry about.
On the seventh try, the moment Lucinda found out she was with child she put herself on bed rest, deciding it was best to get away from the city and go out to the country for the pregnancy. Her husband fully supported her decision, telling the staff that his wife was not to leave the bed for any reason unless it was an absolute emergency. Bed rest seemed very easy to do, and it was until Lucinda received news that Kate’s husband had passed and in such a shocking manner that it took all the logical will she had not to rush to her friend’s side.
Letters to Kate had to make due and every single one she received back from her friend killed her.
Fortunately, the separation and suffering wasn’t in vain because on April sixth, Lucinda gave birth to another healthy little girl who they named Abigail Marie, nicknamed Abby. Now that Abby is safely with them and is perfectly healthy, Lucinda and her husband have decided to stop trying for a bit and instead want to focus mainly on their girls while they make their way back to London.
