His Excellency Lord Andrew Montgomery is the youngest son of Rawdon Montgomery II, the late Marquess of Eastborough. He is married to Amaryllis, daughter of the late Duke of Henley. They married in 1798.
Between the years 1800 and 1807, Lord Andrew served as the British Ambassador to Russia. He returned to England in 1807, when diplomatic relations were suspended following the signing of the Treaties of Tilsit. When not in town, they reside at Alde Hall in Suffolk.
Lord Andrew is a sharp, sociable man with a quick wit and a knack for smoothing ruffled feathers, equally useful in matters of State or matters of the London assembly halls. This season he and his wife will be playing host to Miss Charlotte Montgomery.
