Personality

Connie Westfall is an intelligent and witty young woman yet sometimes jealous of others. She always wants more. Bigger Houses, more expensive gowns, more horses. She does grant the others their wealth, but she would rather have it for herself. If she sees some girl with a more beautiful gown than herself she would most likely call her a bragger. She knows that this is wrong but she can't help herself. But all in all she is a loyal, good-natured and radiant girl who's greatest joy comes from the prospect of a ball. She loves to dance and is a good dancer, moving with grace and elegance. Connie is a great discourser and likes to be in the center of attention. She is the most happy when complimented by a lot of people. While she can be somewhat impulsive and unstable and weeps easily on minor events (e.g. thinking the world ends cause she can't attend a ball) she knows how to pull herself together and how to act in society. Sometimes Connie is pessimistic and will always think of something happening the worst possible way, yet this does not affect her bright and lively nature. Like her cousin she prefers the inside to the outside and loves to writing poetry and stories. She keeps a journal since she has learned how to write and her letters to friends and family are always tremendously long. She enjoys horseback riding or drives with an open coach but would never walk long distances. She considers this wasted time. Why walking and get your dress and shoes dirty if you could travel comfortably by coach or quick by riding? Constance loves the summer and the heat and the midsummer is the only time of the year she would enjoy sitting the whole day in the grass beneath a big tree while reading. The death of her brother Henry really distressed her and she thought she could not debut the year after but was persuaded by her mother and her older sister. She has recovered since then but still thinks of him very often. And puts a bouquet of his favorite flowers in her room on his birthday and on his day of death. Her brothers would often mock her and call her Stance which she hates very much. She is romantic and believes in true love but does not fall easily. If a man is willing to marry her he needs stamina in courting her, otherwise she will not accept his proposal.

Background

Constance's parents married for love and their marriage was happy. Sadly many of their children died young but the remaining children where loved all the more.

The family is loving and they try to give their children the best possible education. Despite they had not much money back when Constance was born, the children felt they needed no more. They lived in a small but noble house in London.

That changed when her father inherited the title of his mother's uncle and from this day on, the Westfall children lacked in nothing. A well educated and wise Governess accompanied the girls and tutors and private teachers learned them everything a young lady needs to know. They also were tought geography and especially Connie was interested in this subject when her brother went off to Spain, as she wanted to know where he was exactly.

Her most loved siblings were Henry, Juliana and Charles. Miss Westfall did really get well on with her brother Henry and his death in 1809 left her totally shaken. She needed long to recover but debuted in 1810 and is out with her older sister and her cousin for the season 1811. Her dowry is relatively big, as her father managed to increase the family's wealth. However, it is not that big as her sisters, as Richard feels Connie is the most beautiful of them.
