Lieutenant Frederick Longstaffe is the only son and heir of Adam Longstaffe of Stavelow Manor in Cheshire. He had little interest in academic work and joined the [[Royal Navy] when he was 13 instead of going to public school. He used the £1000 legacy from his aunt, Lady Crumpshaw to buy his uniform and books and was made Lieutenant in 1810.
Frederick is a NPC belonging to Rose.
