James Harpole, Marquess of Spalding is the son and heir of Lawrence, Duke of Leicester and Augusta, Duchess of Leicester.
James is a likeable boy with plenty of energy and a great curiosity about the world. While he has a certain sense of self-consequence and a tendency to take himself seriously due to his elevated rank and the deference which is consequently shown him, he has not allowed it to go to his head too much.
