Background

Liselle was born on a bitterly cold January day at her family's sizeable estate in Doncaster. The third child of the Duke and Duchess of Doncaster, her family was generally pleased by her birth owing to the fact that she was the only girl born into the line. She was tutored by a Miss Norman and excelled with French, music, art and has supported a great love for reading. By the time she was ready to make her Society debut 6 years ago, she was well versed in French and had become very accomplished musically.

Her family traveled to London in 1805 for Liselle's debut, though her father was forced to remain in the country due to some matters with the estate that required his attention. Liselle was presented at Court and eagerly began the search for a husband with her mother at her side, despite a nervous complaint on her mother's part. The search took longer than the mother and daughter had expected, however, and eventually the duchess' health required her to return to the country, leaving her daughter in the care of her brother, Viscount Olbury. The Viscount and his wife have a daughter of an age to Liselle, which made the situation even more ideal.

Having been in London for these past 6 years (with extended trips home in between Seasons), Liselle has managed to collect a small group of friends that have dubbed themselves "The Bluebirds". The society does a considerable amount of charity work, needlepoint and other lady-like pursuits, but it is really an opportunity for its members to have regular meetings in order to discuss truly important topics, such as gossip, fashions, and eligible bachelors. Liselle actually keeps a notebook with individual entries on particular bachelors so that she can refer to the information discussed later.
