Lady Maeve Delaney is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Leinster, and is a former character played by Bree.

Background
Maeve was born on a swelteringly hot July day to an exhausted Fiona Delaney. It was no surprise that both Fiona, and her husband Cian were disappointed in the fact that Maeve had turned out to be a girl. Both were vehemently praying and hoping for a boy so that Cian would have an heir, but their beloved heir would not come until later. Maeve grew up in Swords, a city in Leinster, Ireland. Being that her father was the Duke of Leinster, Maeve grew up a very privileged, spoilt girl, despite the fact that her parents secretly despised her for not being a male.
Maeve grew up as an extremely obedient child who was very quick to accept her role in society, and very eager to play it. She was dedicated in her studies, even as a young child, and soon earned the love of her mother and father, who were reluctant to admit that perhaps... perhaps Maeve was not so bad. However, Maeve's wonderfully obedient outer self was only a mask for the rebellious little deviant she so cunningly hid inside. She learned very early on how to be cunning, and how to control people. She also learned how to hide her activities, and her small rebellions.
However, the small love that Maeve had earned from her parents was instantly revoked once Lady Fiona learned that she was pregnant again. Maeve was indignant, but did her best not to show it. Once her new little brother was born, however, Maeve knew that things would never be the same. Her parents had finally been blessed with the heir they had been waiting for, and now she would have to work extra hard to catch their attention. Maeve almost immediately began plotting against Cillian, completely prepared to blow his imperfections up to exponential levels.
Thankfully for Maeve, Cillian's imperfections were already very noticeable. He was an extremely fussy baby, often keeping the entire family up for nights on end, whereas Maeve was almost silent. When Cillian started screaming and crying, Maeve would make a show of helping her mother settle him, and she eventually found herself almost liking the little runt. Almost.
As Cillian got older, he became an extremely active child. He was almost always getting into something he shouldn't, whether it was by breaking an expensive vase, or attempting to break the honey out of a beehive. He kept the entire family on their feet, and even some of the maids quit on account of Cillian's obsession with hiding underneath the first dress he saw. The more wild the "beloved heir" became, the more opportunities Maeve saw to make herself look like the better child. Her parents were constantly praising her when they weren't busy punishing Cillian, and Maeve found that she rather liked Cillian.
To reward Maeve once she'd turned seventeen, Fiona and Cian arranged for her to have her debut in London, and for her to stay with her widowed aunt, Slaine Quigley, who had recently been widowed. To Maeve's dismay, however, Cillian was accompanying her, as her parents saw it as a "wonderful opportunity for you two to get to know one another". So the Duke and Duchess put their children on a ship to Liverpool, where they would travel (much to Maeve's dismay) to London.
