The Honourable Andrew Fitzgerald is the youngest son of Andrew, Lord Rotherham and his second wife, Jane. He was born in 1764, educated at Eton and Oxford and is a clergyman. He is the younger brother of Richard, the current Lord Rotherham, John, Maria and Anne.
He met Miss Cecilia Templeton in 1785 but they were unable to marry until he took orders in 1787. They live in Yorkshire and have two surviving children: James and Maria.
