Seyton Hall, located in Middlesex, is the original ancestral home of the Landon family. The Earldom of Seyton was the original title of the Landon family, awarded to Henry Landon in 1485 by King Henry VII, following the Battle of Bosworth Field. The title was used until 1704, when the family was awarded with the title of Marquess of Beningborough, thus allowing the Earl of Seyton to pass into a courtesy title. Richard Landon is currently the 8th Earl of Seyton.
