Andrew Augustus Gosling was the 4th Duke of Leighton. He is the only son of His Grace, Augustus Gosling, 3rd Duke of Leighton and Her Grace, Regan Gosling, Duchess of Leighton and brother to Helen and Augusta Gosling.
In 1780 he married Sophia Gosling and sired two sons, Nicholas, the current duke, and William. By all accounts it was not a happy marriage but the members were very adept at keeping out of one another's path.
