Sir James Freye (1721-1788) married Lady Dorothea Grafton in 1752. They had three children: Dorothy, Simon and Madeleine. In later years, Sir James' mind wandered and he became very forgetful. Nowadays he would have been diagnosed with Alzheimers.
He is the maternal grandfather of Richard Robbie, Viola Fitzgerald and Olivia Fitzgerald.
