Miss Pirbright's Select Seminary for Young Ladies is, as the name says, a ladies' seminary. It is located at Claverton, to the east (the London side) of Bath, about three miles from Bath itself.
It was closed temporarily in 1811 due to a diphtheria outbreak, and those girls who were currently at the school were sent home.
Characters who attended the school are
- Lady Clementine Worthing (1803-1810)
- Miss Emma Vickery (1803-1807)
- Miss Sybilla Grenfell (1806-1810)
- Miss Eleanor Clare (1806-1811)
- Miss Becky Pickwell (?-1811)
- Lady Catherine Seymour (1805-1811)
Miss Pirbright's is represented by Widcombe Manor House, Bath
