Lady Clementine Worthing is the only child of the Earl and Countess of Bathampton. She is seventeen years old, and nearing her eighteenth birthday. She is currently living in Park Street with her chaperone Lady Dryden, and her chaperone's cousin Lord Alderhan.

Childhood
Lady Clementine Worthing was born the eldest child of Jonathan Worthing, Earl of Bathampton, and his wife Anastasia in the Spring of 1793. They smothered the young Clementine with affection and attention. As her father began to get very frustrated, often in an explosive and aggressive way, with her mother's inability to bear any more living children, Ana decided it would be best (and safest) to send her ten year old daughter away to a ladies’ academy rather than continue her education with a governess at home.

As she grew older, Lady Clementine proved herself to be quite the accomplished young woman. Displaying an easy aptitude for the feminine skills that she was instructed in from an early age, she was declared by her headmistress to be ‘a credit to her class’, a compliment she took very seriously. Yet upon returning home to Bathampton House for good, aged seventeen, her mother’s health was at its lowest and she did not make the early debut that she and her peers had assumed she would. Her father began to take more interest in her as he started to look at marriage prospects, but after he brought home yet another middle-aged friend from his gentleman’s club, Ana put her foot down. Her health was improving, and she promised her daughter a debut in London for her eighteenth birthday. A few months after that she fell pregnant once more and by the start of Spring, it became quite clear that her mother was not going to be in any condition to chaperone her around London society. The pregnancy appeared to be sticking, and her mother currently is the size of a small whale. The doctor is quite convinced that she is carrying two babies, and the midwives and women that never leave her mother’s side are quite convinced that she is carrying two boys. Clementine, though delighted for her mother, is altogether less enthusiastic than her mother’s companions about the prospect of two younger brothers, who will surely take up all of the attention she was hoping to receive, now that she has finished with her education.
Current Season
Having eagerly agreed to the suggestion that she travel to London with her mother’s best friend (and Clementine’s long-time idol) Alexandra Talbot, the Dowager Viscountess Dryden, Clementine is excited about finally putting her skills to good use and impressing the members of the Ton that her teachers spoke so highly of. She is a little less enthusiastic about the actual prospect of marriage, after witnessing the struggles that both her mother and Alexandra went through, but she is sure that will come to pass. Clementine boasts a goodly dowry, title and family connections, and is confident of finally getting the attention she deserves.
Physical Appearance
Speaking of blonde beauties, this author has received word that a Lady C.W. is recently arrived in town...Like will find like, and Beauty will seek Beauty. Who better to make a pretty picture with Lady C than our silver-blonde damsel, Miss E.H? A stroll through the park with these two in frame makes almost for a landscape that ought to be titled ‘Beauty is as rays of the Sun’, what with that abundance of golden hair and sun-kissed lashes.

Clementine is the spitting image of her father with wavy blonde hair and blue eyes set in a rather unfashionably freckled face, which she powders religiously. She is of an average height and though her figure is a little fuller than she would like it to be, it is nothing that a corset cannot fix.
She dresses in as fashionable a style as she can manage at any time, and favours pink and apricot shades in her wardrobe.
Personality
Clementine Worthing is never anything but charming and cheerful, she could not countenance anything less. Taking on the role of role model for the younger girls at her school, she has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances all across the country. Popular, pretty and having spent a good portion of her life as one of the highest titled students at an exclusive seminary for ladies, Clem has always been the big fish in the small pond.
At school she quickly established herself at the top of the social hierarchy, and stayed there for the next seven years. Ever the overachiever, she settled for nothing less than excellence in all of her lessons, trying as hard as she could to impress her distant and scowling father - something that she has not yet managed to do. She feels that this may ultimately come of making a good match in London and finally making herself useful.
In her free time, Clementine enjoys literature in any form, though she is particularly fond of Shakespeare - she admires the beauty and the structure of the plays, and the lyricism of the poetry. However, she is always willing to turn her hand to any new skill that she has the opportunity to learn, and always with good cheer.
Behind that cheerful disposition, however, you find a truly anxious young woman. Lady Clementine has to be the best at everything that she does, and though it would be fair to say that she has in the past generally managed to achieve this, it does not come without its pitfalls. Clementine’s entire self worth is based on her societal achievements and other people’s perception of her. She spends sleepless nights worrying frantically about small moments from her day (Did she seem too eager to that young Earl when she said hello? Did that Viscountess she spoke to notice that her gloves were askew?) and then spends the rest of the next day worrying about the shadows under her eyes.
Oftentimes, this worrying comes to head in a rather explosive way - in heaving, breathless fits that leave her shaking. Were she diagnosed now, a doctor would tell her that these were panic attacks, a common symptom of anxiety. However, she cannot be, and as such sees these episodes as just another embarrassing imperfection that needs to be quashed.
