Her range of interests is actually fairly broad but she knows the most about the Royal Navy and Marines of the Napoleonic period. If she hasn't got a relevant source on her bookshelves, she can probably find it in her notes or somewhere online. Doc originally joined LL in early 2012 but was soon thereafter smothered by the varied joys of Real Life and faded off the board. She's recently come back to try again.

In the real world, Doc is an accident-prone thirty-something who has made a few poor career choices. She briefly studied criminal justice (which lent itself to an awareness that juvenile law is boring and that studying crime scenes in class was heaps of fun), dabbled in emergency medicine (and from it developed an acute appreciation for the depths of human stupidity), spent several years as a hotel maid (thereby gaining a burning hatred of tourists and bad tippers), and very briefly worked in retail (which speaks utterly for itself). She's now working for an international parcel shipping company, where she's learned that Amazon truly has taken over the world.

She also tends to poke fun at herself.

Characters

Arthur Cartwright - Captain in the Royal Marines. He's not far off from turning twenty-five and is recently returned from several years on sea duty. His last ship, a frigate called Terpsichore was a successful coastal raider in the Mediterranean and took several French ships as prizes.

Areas of Interest

On the historical front, she knows the most about the Royal Navy and Marines of the Napoleonic period. If she hasn't got a relevant source on her bookshelves, she can probably find it in her notes or somewhere online. She is entirely too familiar with the crop of mid-eighteenth century officers in the Corps of Marines, which is arguably a handicap as well as being thoroughly irrelevant to LL's present setting. Oops.

Other eras of history that she knows a very little about are pre-Great War England, the two world wars, and the modern US military - the latter by unfortunate experience. She is also perhaps unacceptably fond of writing sad and angsty fiction.
