Caroline Robinson was born in 1786 to a trade family in Rotherham in Yorkshire. At the age of thirteen she was employed as a housemaid at Rotherham Park with the Fitzgerald family.
After a couple of years of service, she was called upon to help look after Lady Viola Fitzgerald as she became a young lady. Caroline demonstrated a knack for fashion and beautification and was taken to London as Lady Viola's personal maid in 1806. She has not only proved herself to be capable of the job of a lady's maid but her discrete personality combined with a rarely shown dry sense of humour have made her invaluable to her young mistress who has rejected options to replace her with a more experienced or glamorous maid. As Lady Olivia has also grown up, Caroline has taken responsibility for looking after her as well, in addition to her now much reduced housemaid duties.
Though Viola and Caroline are certainly not friends in any real sense, they are of a similar age and Caroline is a good listener. Viola does sometimes talk to her and even ask her opinion on various matters, probably due to the fact that Caroline is good at saying whatever she suspects her mistress would most like to hear. A sense of mutual benefit and loyalty exists between them. Caroline has always hoped that on the occasion of Viola's marriage she might be promoted to the official position of lady's maid.
Caroline has red hair and a Yorkshire accent.
Caroline is a NPC belonging to Rose.
