The Barony of Silchester is a hereditary title in the Peerage of England.
History
The Fitzroy family have lived alongside the ruins of Calleva Atrebatum since time immemorial, which lent its name to their family home. The family are said to be descended from Henry I of England, but the story has changed so often over time that it is impossible to prove.
