Background
Born and bred to be an older son since the day he was born, Blake has achieved the ultimate goals for a man of his age and station. He has attained his firsts in Mathematics and Physics from Cambridge and has garnered recognition as a brilliant marksman, rider and an exceptional womaniser. For years the match making-mamas of the ton had tried to catch the elusive marquess, so much so that when the Marquess attended a ball, the spot in his arm was so coveted that ladies young and old trampled over themselves to get to him.
Alas, they have tried and tried, and he has escaped and escaped. For years since he inherited, Blake has simply stayed away from the clutches of matrimony. It is obvious, that he has no desire to hear the wedding bells any time soon. However, this despairs his mother, who is anxious for him to marry.
So far, Blake has never met or even seen a lady he would love to make his own, although he isn't so foolish to believe that love doesn't exist. Seeing his parent's marriage is proof of that. He will marry, but only when he meets the lady he thinks was meant to be his. When he sees her, he'll catch her, and never let her go.
