Georgiana Vickery is the eldest daughter of the Honourable George Vickery, a successful barrister with chambers in Gray's Inn. Her uncle is James Vickery, the third Viscount Saltash and her cousins are Robert, John and Emma Vickery.

Background
Georgiana was born in London to Mr George Vickery, the younger son of Lord Saltash, a successful barrister and King's Counsel. The eldest of five children, Georgiana has lived all her life in London, thanks to her father's career, apart from the times she has stayed with various relations at their country estates.
Being born into a family with numerous cousins meant that despite her father's profession, Georgiana was able to spend time in the country, even if her cousins were all older than her. The various country estates she has been fortunate enough to stay at have never really felt like home – a London town-house with her parents, several siblings and servants, with the near-constant rumble of traffic passing outside has always felt more like home to her.
Although her father isn't titled (beyond the courtesy title bestowed on Viscounts' sons), his success in his profession has meant that his children have been given the best education and opportunities possible within the constraints of living in London. This has included moving to a much larger house in Albemarle Street soon after the birth of Georgiana's brother William. It has also allowed him to give Georgiana a perfectly respectable £15, 000 as a dowry.
Georgiana's family are very close, although there is a certain amount of teasing (and the accompanying tears and tantrums from the younger children), which is to be expected. While her father engaged a governess, a Miss Newton, who still teaches the youngest three, Georgiana's mother took a personal hand in teaching her daughter how to run and manage a household, including a one-week period just before her come-out where Georgiana was given full responsibility for everything to do with the household management.
