Harold Abberton is the second son of Godfrey, Earl of Mersea and Elizabeth Abberton. He is the younger brother of Leo Abberton, the current Earl. His other siblings are Lucas, Charlotte, Augustus, Helen as well as half-siblings, Xavier and Veronique. He is married to Amanda Abberton and they have twins daughters, Emily and Juliet.
Harold has a pen-pushing job in government where he gets paid to do very little that is meaningful. He is very proud of it and overstates its importance but resents having to work at all and thinks he should have been the eldest son. He lives in London all year round and his wife chaperones his youngest sister, Helen during the Season.
