Middleton Ball

The Middleton Ball was an event held at Middleton House on the evening of Saturday the 11th May to celebrate the wedding of Thomas Sterne and Miss Rebecca Garrison. Due to the scandal (real or perceived) of the Captain's marriage to a governess, it was more sparsely attended than might have been expected.
