Mr. Barnaby Palmer is the father of played character [[Jemima Palmer]] and NPC [[Cecily Palmer]]. He is married to NPC [[Francesca Palmer]]. He is an extremely wealthy landowner, but his fortune is, to his eldest daughter's great disappointment, a fairly recent development, going back only two generations or so. Said eldest daughter would be shocked to learn that she is, in fact, her father's favorite - between the troublemaker with some brain and the docile girl without much of one, he'll choose the former every time. | |||
He inherited much of his fortune from his father, Benedict Palmer (1718-1775), but it has only grown since he took the reins of the family estates.
