Mr. Barnaby Palmer is the father of played character Jemima Palmer and NPC Cecily Palmer. He is married to NPC Francesca Palmer. He is an extremely wealthy landowner, but his fortune is, to his eldest daughter's great disappointment, a fairly recent development, going back only two generations or so. Said eldest daughter would be shocked to learn that she is, in fact, her father's favorite - between the troublemaker with some brain and the docile girl without much of one, he'll choose the former every time.
