Miranda Vickery is the third daughter of the Honourable George Vickery, a successful barrister with chambers in Gray's Inn. Her uncle is James Vickery, the third Viscount Saltash and her cousins are Robert, John and Emma Vickery (b. 1790), Grace Wingrave (b. 1795).
