The Honourable Captain Augustus Abberton is the youngest son of Godfrey, Earl of Mersea and Elizabeth Abberton. He is the younger brother of Leo Abberton, the current Earl. His other siblings are Harold, Lucas, Charlotte, Helen as well as half-siblings, Xavier and Veronique.
Leo recently bought Augustus a commission in the army and he is so far enjoying army life, less because it gives him a chance to serve his country and more because he looks fine in regimentals and the ladies love it. Augustus enjoys women and gambling and thinks he is very good at both. He admires his father whom he barely knew for being a "top lad".
