Lady Helen Abberton is the younger daughter of Godfrey, Earl of Mersea and Elizabeth Abberton. Her siblings are Leo Abberton, the current Earl, Harold, Lucas, Charlotte, Augustus, as well as half-siblings, Xavier and Veronique.
Helen lives partly in the country with Leo and Charlotte, partly in London with Harold and Amanda during the Season. She dislikes them both and is desperate to be married and get away from her family, whom she finds deeply embarrassing. However, her relatively small dowry and her attitude have not so far made her a top catch. She is friends with Lady Georgiana Goodwin.
