Marion Landon
Marion Isabella Landon, born Miss Marion Burstow, is the fourth Marchioness of Beningborough, and is the second child of Lawrence and Alexandra Burstow, Baron and Baroness of Roth. She is the mother of Juliet Landon, and is a NPC created by Izzie.

Parents
Born to the impoverished Baron of Roth, Lawrence Burstow, and his long-suffering wife, Alexandra Burstow.
Siblings
Marion was the second of three children, being preceded by her elder sister Katherine Tolson, and followed by her younger brother, Samuel Burstow.
Spouse
Marion married Edmond Landon in 1787, the same year as her debut. The marriage was one of convenience for her; the Burstow family was surrounded in scandal at the time, and she had almost no dowry. Over time, however, she has grown to love her husband, though he certainly lacks the tenacity that Marion possesses.
Children
Marion has had five children with her husband, and they comprise one of the largest families in the Ton. She is currently busy trying to orchestrate the marriages of both Elizabeth and Juliet. While it had been her goal to have Elizabeth married off last Season, she now faces the challenge of having to have both of her daughters married off. Her children include:

Childhood (1769-1782)
Marion's childhood was far from pleasant, as she grew up in a family that was not only impoverished, but with an alcoholic father as well. As the middle child, she was often left on her own, as her elder sister had no desire to spend time with her, and her mother was too busy fussing over her younger brother to pay much mind to Marion. As such, Marion grew up avoiding most her family, and trying to plot her way out of the impoverished existence she had found herself born in. Marion was always trying to keep herself out of trouble (something that Katherine constantly found herself in), and often plotted to get her sister out of trouble. When their mother died in 1780, Marion found herself charged with the task of taking care of her younger brother, and also helping Katherine with household chores (which her sister more often than not left for Marion to do).
Katherine's Scandal (1782)
Three years following Alexandra Burstow's death, it was time for Katherine to make her debut into society. With very little money to send Katherine off to London with, and almost no dowry to speak of, Katherine and a governess were sent off to London in the hopes of Katherine making a suitable match. What followed was not what the Burstow family had planned - Katherine eloped with Thomas Tolson, Baron of Middleton, and left for India in the middle of the night. It was now left to Marion to cover up her family's poverty, her father's alcoholism, and smooth over the scandal of Katherine's marriage, all at the age of 13.
Burstow Scandal (1787)
When the year of Marion's debut arrived, she felt the immense pressure to marry well and lift her family out of the poverty that had plagued them for so long. Unfortunately, another scandal was set to upset Marion's plans. Lawrence and Samuel had travelled with Marion to London for the Season, having scraped enough money together for a decent sized dowry. The day before Marion's debut, however, Lawrence had been out drinking, and went on a drunken rage in the middle of Grosvenor Square, much to Marion's humiliation and the Ton's shock.
Debut & Marriage (1787)
Marion's debut was quiet, and still reeling from the shock of her father's behaviour, there were many whispers about her at Almack's. Nevertheless, Marion held her head high, and began plotting her way out of the mess she had found herself in, hoping to salvage some of her dignity and reputation. Her pride and tenacity paid off - a chance meeting with Augusta Landon found Marion in the Marchioness' good graces, and found herself with a proposal from Edmond Landon by August of 1787.
Marriage (1787-present)
While there may not have been much affection between Edmond and Marion at the start, the two found themselves quickly surrounded by children, and they found that affection quickly blossomed between them. Five children later, the two have found themselves unexpectedly in love, and have a marriage that was quite unlike her parents.
Present Day (1811-)
Currently Marion is in London, chaperoning her two daughters, Elizabeth and Juliet. The rest of her family is due to arrive in London in time for the Tolson Dinner Party, which Marion is planning in honour of her sister Katherine's return to England from India with her family.
